Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was passionate about music. She grew up listening mostly to classical music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing. However, she started more intense singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. Following her move into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. The love she has for singing, music and the arts keeps active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
